FROZEN CROWN
About the band
Frozen Crown is an Italian power-metal band formed in 2017, mixing power metal with old-school speed and heavy metal. In its short lifespan the band has played festivals such as Sabaton Open Air, Metalfest Plzeň and Rock Imperium, headlined two Japanese tours and toured Europe extensively with DragonForce, Nanowar of Steel and, in 2023, U.D.O.
War Hearts (2024) was the band's fifth album, its Napalm Records debut and its first recording as a six-piece, joined by young guitarist Alessia Lanzone. The album title pays homage to the legendary Children of Bodom, and its release was followed by a tour with Kamelot.
The sixth album, The Legend of the Six Kings, is out on 2 October 2026 via Napalm Records. Ten new heavy power-metal tracks, inspired among other things by Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, take the band's sound in a darker direction — singer Giada “Jade” Etro leaves her formerly cheerful approach behind, and on the title track she is joined in a duet by guitarist Federico Mondelli with growls and clean vocals. The album also includes a power-metal take on the Goo Goo Dolls hit “Iris”.
