About the band
DONOR formed in 2012 in the Wallachia region and spent their first years mostly playing covers of metal classics, gradually honing their style on them. Before long, original material began to take over and the band found its own direction. The turning point came in 2016, when DONOR recorded the single Létám dál with Roland Grapow, paired with the track Poslední oheň. Both songs later became the foundation of the debut Donor (2018), with which the band set out on a nationwide tour and made their first appearances at major festivals, including Masters of Rock.
After a short break and line-up changes, DONOR returned in 2022 with the album Devět křížů, which clearly defined their power-metal direction and opened doors to many Czech festivals. Their third album Jeviště snů, released on 28 March 2025 via Smile Music Records, brought an even fuller sound, children's choirs and another helping of melodic metal. Its launch took place at a hopelessly sold-out KD Brumov — and DONOR have been pressing on ever since, toward more concerts and festivals.
