BURNING WITCHES
About the band
Burning Witches is an all-female heavy-metal band from Switzerland. From summer 2015 they worked on their first material, and that autumn they recorded their first three songs with V.O. Pulver at Little Creek Studio (Panzer, Pro-Pain, Destruction). Finding a name was easy — if four crazy girls burn hard for heavy metal, they can only call themselves Burning Witches.
In summer 2019 Dutch vocalist Laura Guldemond joined as the new singer, debuting at Sweden Rock Festival and recording the album Dance With The Devil with the band. It was followed by The Witch of the North and The Dark Tower (2023).
The sixth studio album, Inquisition, was released on 22 August 2025 via Napalm Records. Its twelve tracks deal with medieval persecution, religious oppression and the unbreakable spirit of resistance. Produced by Damir Eskic (Destruction) and V.O. Pulver and written by founding guitarist Romana Kalkuhl, it shows the band darker, more epic and more uncompromising than ever before.
