About the band
Axxis is a German hard-rock band that rose to fame quickly at the turn of the 1980s and '90s thanks to the striking high voice of singer Bernhard Weiß and a catchy melodic sound. Their debut Kingdom of the Night (1989) became one of the most successful first albums by a German rock band and opened the door to international stages, where they played alongside Black Sabbath and Gorky Park.
Over the years Axxis broadened their style with power metal and released a number of acclaimed albums, including Axxis II, The Big Thrill and Time Machine. The band is also known for frequent creative experiments, collaborations with guest musicians and an active touring schedule, including repeated appearances at Wacken Open Air.
Axxis built their own label, Phonotraxx, and regularly put out new recordings and live releases. After more than 35 years on the scene, they announced that the album Coming Home (2024) and the anniversary tours that follow would close the band's entire story, symbolically wrapping up a long and successful career.
